Good evening I have a problem with a Suzuki Grand Vitara 1.9 DDIS dpf95 kw.

Arrived with serpentine warning light on and subsequently also engine warning light, diagnosis revealed fault P0488 exhaust gas recirculation throttle position control. the car does not give any major problems and if cleared it reappears after about 10 km continuous.

Can anyone tell me anything about this... I think you have to replace the egr valve but given the high cost I ask if it has already happened because a few days later another Suzuki Grand Vitara arrived with an identical problem of warning lights on and the same fault in memory P0488.

The cars in question are 2011 and 2014 engine type F9Q 95kw
