TPMS Renault Captur
Since the TPMS is not yet indicated, I enclose a procedure found on the WEB for adapting TPMS valves in the event of (replacement/inflation) on a Renault Captur vehicle.
good work to all hello
When the vehicle is equipped, this system warns of loss of pressure in one or more tyres while driving.Operating principle
Each wheel (except the spare) has a sensor inserted in the inflation valve that measures the tyre pressure at regular intervals while driving.
The Spy 1 remains permanently lit to warn the driver if the pressure is below the reference pressure.
Reset tyre pressure reference value
This must be done: - when the tyre reference pressure needs to be changed to suit the conditions of use (empty, under load, motorway driving, etc.); - after a tyre rotation; - after changing a wheel. This should always be done after a cold inflation pressure check of the four tyres.
The inflation pressure must correspond to the current use of the vehicle (empty, loaded, motorway driving, etc.). Engine off: - make short presses on one of the buttons 3 o 4 to select the 'tyre pressure' function in the display 2; - exert long pressure (approx. 3 seconds) on one of the buttons 3 o 4 to start initialisation. The message "REF PRESSURE RUNNING" appears on the display 2. When the message 'Acquiring tyre pressure' appears on the display 2the reference tyre pressure is recorded.
Note The reference pressure value may not be lower than the one recommended and indicated on the side of the door.
Display
The display 2 The instrument panel indicates any inflation anomalies (flat tyre, punctured tyre...).
ADJUST TYRE PRESSURE
The Spy remains permanently lit accompanied by the message "ADJUST TYRE PRESSURE". They indicate that at least one wheel is deflated.
Readjust the pressure, when cold, as required. While driving, the indicator light goes off after a few minutes.
DRILLING
The Spy remains permanently lit accompanied by the message 'DRILLING'. This message indicates that at least one of the wheels is punctured or badly deflated. Replace it or contact the brand's network if it is punctured. Re-inflate the tyre if it is deflated.
This message is accompanied by the light ®.
TYRE SENSORS CHECK
The Spy flashes for a few seconds, then remains permanently lit, accompanied by the message 'TYRE SENSORS CHECK'.
This message indicates a sensor failure or the absence of the sensor on at least one of the wheels (which is the case, for example, when mounting the spare wheel).
This message is accompanied by the light ©.
Unless this message appears after the spare wheel has been fitted, please contact a brand representative.
New tyre pressure adjustment
Pressures must be adjusted cold (please refer to the label on the side of the driver's door). If the pressure check cannot be carried out on tyres colds, an increase in the pressure of 0,2–0,3 bar (3 PSI).
Never deflate a hot tyre.
Replacing wheels/tyres
The system requires the use of specific equipment (wheels, tyres, wheel cups...). Contact a brand representative for tyre replacement and to find out which accessories are compatible with the system and available in the brand's network: the use of any other accessories could jeopardise the correct functioning of the system.
Spare wheel
When the vehicle is equipped, the spare wheel has no sensors. When it is fitted on the vehicle, the message "TYRE SENSORS CHECK" appears on the instrument panel.
Tyre repair sprays and inflation kits
For valve specificity, only use equipment approved by the brand network. |
