The customer went to the workshop because the engine fan was always on in the morning with a cold engine and also with a warm engine. The engine fan was always running. When the car was switched on, it would start and would not stop until the car was switched off.

The solution to the problem was as follows: set the climate control knob to between 16 and 20 degrees

here is the explanation : When the outside air temperature is above 21 degrees, the climate control system activates the engine fan according to the settings. For this reason, the climate control knob must be set between 16 and 20 degrees and the engine cooling fan will turn off.

So we can conclude that it is not a defect in the system but a setting of the air-conditioning system desired by Mercedes.
