Renault MODUS 1.5 DCi year 2006 engine does not start
good morning
Today we are going to talk to you about a problem of engine non-starting Renault MODUS 1.5 DCi year 2006 .
the car does not start and the alternator charging fault battery light comes on in diagnosis
error P0607=performance control module is present.
The case is rather strange and after careful examination of the manufacturer's manual.
We have verified that the alternator generates the command to switch on the battery/alternator failure light in the instrument panel .
The warning light command is sent via the multiplex line to the UPC control unit (engine compartment control unit), the UCH control unit (passenger compartment control unit), and the instrument panel.
The diagnostic check of all these ECUs was regular and did not lead to a solution.
We checked the grounds, wiring and power supplies and finally found the solution:
Checked and correctly tightened the battery negative terminal connector.
The slow connector did not allow the engine to start.
good work
Best regards Antonio
