Activation of Service Mode for replacement rear brake pads Range Rover Evoque 2.2 SD4
Good morning, today we report on the procedure to be carried out to activate the service mode, which is necessary for the replacement of rear brake pads.
Activating the mode consists of:
- The service mode must be activated before replacing the rear brake pad/disc:
- Release the parking brake (the gear lever must be in position N or P)
- Activating the ignition
- Press and hold the electronic parking brake switch
- Wait about 2 seconds
- Press and hold the accelerator pedal
- Wait about 2 seconds
- Switch on and off within 2 seconds
- An acoustic signal will be heard: release the accelerator pedal and release the parking brake.
- The service mode is now active and it is possible to proceed with the disassembly of the brake system components.
Deactivating the mode consists of:
- Gear lever must be positioned in N or P
- Activating the ignition
- Pull out and hold the parking brake switch
- Wait about 2 seconds
- Press and hold the accelerator pedal
- Wait about 2 seconds
- Switch on and off within 2 seconds
- An acoustic signal will be heard: release the accelerator pedal and release the parking brake.
- The service mode is now deactivated
