A customer of ours has a Fiat Panda (169), engine 1200 petrol, year 2008, with ecu iaw 4af in the workshop.

The car has the Mil light on and the engine starts with difficulty but starts. Once started, it immediately shuts off. Insisting on starting, however, the engine starts regularly and stays running, with regular idling. An ECU diagnosis shows error P0116, engine water temperature sensor.

Replacing the apparently faulty sensor led to nothing, so we also replaced a second temperature sensor on the engine but to no avail. At this point we checked the wiring between the ecu and the engine control unit but everything seems to be OK.

Colleagues, do you have any suggestions?
