Today we present the following case of a Citroen C3 Picasso with the engine cooling fan fault always active

Engine code: 5FWEP6 C3 Picasso SH 1.6 petrol with LPG installed after market

Matriculation: 01/10/2010

The following error codes were detected in the engine diagnosis :

p0463:fuel level information from bsi open circuit
p0562:battery voltage too low
p1356 blow loss on cylinders
p1340 blow loss cylinder 4
p1339 blow loss cylinder 3
p11aa:intake manifold pressure signal
p2168 mixture regoal too rich
p1337 cylinder1 leakage
p0420 catalyst ageing

After some testing, the solution was found in a problem of abnormal air intake from the engine oil cap. All error codes were cleared.

The only error code NOT cleared is p0463:fuel level information from bsi open circuit

due to gasoline level emulator for LPG system not present in the tank.

The engine oil plug was NOT closed properly and the engine was sucking in air.

We suggest in such cases that you check whether air is sucked in through the engine oil cap that is NOT closed properly .

Check air intake from CANISTER or engine air filter intake coupling
