PARTICULATE FILTER (D.P.F.) - REGENERATION WITH DIAGNOSTIC TOOL
- Connect the diagnosis tool to the vehicle's diagnosis socket, go to the engine control unit, go to the "MISCELLANEOUS FUNCTIONS" menu and launch the "REGENERATE PARTICULAR FILTER" procedure. Pay close attention to what the diagnostic tool indicates.

THIS PROCEDURE GENERATES VERY HIGH EXHAUST TEMPERATURES, DO NOT REPEAT A SECOND REGENERATION PROCEDURE UNTIL 30 MINUTES HAVE ELAPSED SINCE THE END OF THE FIRST ONE. |

A CLOGGING VALUE OF 70 - 75% CORRESPONDS TO A NORMAL CONDITION THAT DOES NOT REQUIRE THE REGENERATION PROCEDURE TO BE STARTED. |
Before starting this procedure, please do the following:1. check the cleanliness of the outside of the exhaust pipe and in the immediate vicinity;2. remove the gas extraction plug from the exhaust pipe and ensure that no one passes by the exhaust pipe during the entire procedure;3. place the vehicle in an open area away from heat sources;4. keep the engine bonnet open throughout the procedure.

The conditions required to carry out this procedure are: |
1. water temperature higher than 70 °C;2. stationary vehicle;3. engine started at idle;4. brake and clutch pedal released.
