2008 Ford Kuga 2.0 tdi power loss
Good morning
on a 2008 Ford Kuga 2.0 tdci we have noticed a drop in power with engine failure warning light on, fuel leakage,
On interrogating the engine control unit, the following dtc were present:
1)p0087:Fuel line/system pressure too low
2)p0089:Fuel pressure regulator 1 - faulty operation
3)p0200:Injector - circuit malfunction
4)p062b:Engine control unit, injector control - faulty operation
5)p1551:Injector 1 - gamma failure/circuit failure
6)p1552:Injector 2 - gamma failure/circuit failure
7)p1553:Injector 3 - gamma failure/circuit failure
8)p1554:Injector 4 - gamma failure/circuit failure
The Cause of the problem was the damaged injector return line oring
so we performed the following operations:
- Check the injector return line connections for damage or leakage.
- Replace the injector return line if necessary. Apply a thin layer of grease to the O-ring(s).
- Fit new injector return line retaining clips.
- Delete fault codes from the fault memory of the engine control unit
the car started working properly again
good work until next time
