What is SERMI?

The SERMI is an inspection scheme created by Regulation (EU) No. 2018/858, which requires vehicle manufacturers to make On-Board Diagnostic (OBD) and Repair and Maintenance Information (RMI) available to Independent Operators. This scheme is essential to provide a secure and standardised interface with vehicle diagnostics and safety systems.
SERMI Certification is designed to guarantee secure and verified access to diagnostic information and safety functions through the manufacturers' technical portals, made available to Independent Operators.
