IMPOSSIBLE TO DIAGNOSE CARS WITH AN LPG OR CNG SYSTEM INSTALLED
Good morning, everyone,
It happens lately that it is not possible to diagnose the petrol engine management unit on cars where an LPG or CNG plant has been installed.
In the latest types of systems installed by garages, there is the possibility of connecting a wire to pin number 7 of the OBD socket in order to emulate the MIL light signal in the event that the petrol engine management control unit goes out of self-adaptive parameters due to incorrect adjustment of the LPG or CNG system correctors/parameters.
To carry out diagnostics, it is necessary to disconnect this wire, which I repeat is usually connected on pin number 7 of the OBD diagnostic socket.
Greetings
Pio Pancione
