JAGUAR X TYPE 2000 PETROL V 6 ERROR C1155
Good morning everyone, a Jaguar x-type year 2002 engine 2000 petrol v6 with engine and abs system warning light on came into the workshop, with my vision I can only do engine but I can't find any errors, I try with my other diagnostic tool and I find in engine error code C1155 front left wheel speed input short circuit error and P1582 flight recorder data stored, then I go to brake system and I find the same errors.
The strange thing is that in the engine management I find an error code (C1155) that concerns the chassis and that if I don't delete it first here, it won't be deleted even in the ABS system, we cleaned the ABS sensor connections both on the sensor and on the control unit, we went for a spin on the road and everything seemed to be fine, but this was because we turned the car in the same direction, always steering to the right, we reversed the direction of travel and immediately the two warning lights came on, the wire of the ABS sensor is still at the shock absorber that as long as you turned to the right it did not stretch but when you turned to the left it pulled and created the error, in fact we cancelled the errors and leaving the vehicle stationary in the workshop with the wheels straight if I moved the cable by hand in a sensor nothing happened if I pulled it in the opposite direction the lights came on, We bought the cable and replaced it and now the car has been running for a fortnight and the problem has not occurred again, most likely the error in the braking system was also creating an error in the engine even though the engine was running well.
Good work to all .
