Mercedes M-Class(164) 280 CDI shutdown in gear
Good morning dear customers,
Below is an interesting and difficult case that happened to a colleague of yours at the CEBE AUTO workshop in Vittuone (Mi).
While the car was running, it turned off and after restarting it had no output and would turn off.
After ritual checks on the EGR valve, rail pressure sensor and fuel pressure regulator, the problem persisted.
After a careful analysis with MM technicians at the workshop, we tapped the wiring involved in the anomaly and realised that it was instead a simple loose connection; specifically, it was the turbocharger outlet sensor connection which you can see in the picture below.

As you can see, once again a careful diagnosis can avoid taking the wrong path, but above all it allows us to provide the 'end customer' with professional and economically adequate support.
