Opel Corsa D
Good morning, everyone,
Today we present the case reported by your colleague from the F.lli Bertolla workshop in Carrara:
Opel Corsa D, 1.2 LPG from 2013 with errors in ABS control unit:
- C0244 ABS control module - invalid data received from engine control unit;
- C0242 Motor torque request - range/yield fault.
The car then also has a rather high engine idle when the engine is warm, but no errors in the engine control unit.
From the description of the errors, it initially seems to be a communication or CAN network problem, also due to the lack of errors in ECM, but on checking, no anomalies emerge.
Checking the intake air intake, it was then discovered that a bolt was missing from the intake manifold at the tappet cover: when the engine was hot, this expanded and thus allowed air to infiltrate.
Once the bolt was put back on and the manifold tightened to torque, the idle speed returned to normal and the ABS errors also changed from Active to Memorised. A counter test was also carried out by running air through the oil vapour pipes and the anomaly was identical with the ABS errors.
On behalf of the Help Desk team, we thank our colleague for his report and wish you good work
