Hello everyone, I am reporting a solved case concerning a Peugeot 5008, with the hope that it may be useful to you colleagues, the car is a 1.6 HDI with engine code 9HZ, the ABS / ESP failure warning light was appearing and, according to the customer, it was occurring when activating the AC button on the air conditioning.

Diagnosis of the ABS-ESP system with Logic tester showed the following errors: C1380 C1381described as ABS pump motor defect, and ABS pump relay.

After a circuit diagram check on the ABS pump control unit socket, a missing ground was found on pin 13 of the ABS pump connector, checked the ground points, and the problem was found:

one of the two mass points underneath the headlight (driver's side) was compromised, melted and loose, once restored everything returned to normal.
