volvo xc 70 2500 diesel year 2003 does not start
Good morning in the workshop we have a VOLVO XC70 year 2003, engine 5 cylinders 2500 d. The auxiliary belt broke and went under the timing belt and blew the valves with consequences that I leave you to imagine. We have put in a complete new cylinder head, new timing kit, engine phase and also injection pump, but the car won't start.
I disassembled the air filter case, left only the sleeve, and saw that when the engine turns, instead of sucking, it blows, which means that the phase is not right. I did the phase without taking into account the references and went as is the logic of the distribution with the first cylinder at the PMS, both valves closed, and in fact the phase marks did not correspond, but the engine started.
At the ends of the shafts there are two gears that seemed to be in operation, but in fact one of them was hot-mounted and most likely spun in the bump.
I buy 2 new camshafts in VOLVO we assemble everything the car starts and runs well
Thank goodness.
Good work
Claudio
