VOLKSWAGEN Golf V - Failure to start
Good morning everyone, I went to one of our bodyshops because they had done some work on a VW Golf 5 and ready to be delivered this one won't start: a symbol comes up on the dashboard with ignition key and indicates no signal with immobiliser. At the body shop they called VW and were told that the key had lost its code and had to be taken to the dealership for key coding to be done online.
I had had a similar case before and it had been solved by leaving the key in the ignition turned in gear. Leave it like that for half an hour and then the car had started.
We did the same test: key inserted, turned, ignition on, battery well charged and services switched off. After half an hour we turned the key and the car turned on.
MIRACOLOO!!!!!!! The coachbuilder was overjoyed.
Have a good weekend everyone
