Good morning,

we present the case in question, solved and reported by your colleague at the Carilli workshop in Rome:

VW Golf V Plus 2.0 TDI 103 KW has the engine light switched on with no operating irregularities; error codes:

• 19557 - Intake manifold air control actuator - short to ground
• 17075 - Engine coolant fan motor 1 - short to earth

Checked the fan motor, which was indeed damaged: full of oil and with shelled gear, but even once replaced the errors remain and in addition 19558 - no signal.

Having found that the wiring of the intake manifold actuator is connected to that of the electric fan motor, it was traced back to fuse 8 (10Ah) in the engine compartment fuse box, which had blown due to the mechanical fault and was still giving the above errors.
